Written by Saigon Children’s Charity (saigonchildren) vừa tổ chức Diễn đàn PowHERful 2026 với chủ đề “Tự tin chọn STEM”, quy tụ gần 400 người tham dự bao gồm học sinh, sinh viên, giáo viên, phụ huynh, chuyên gia hướng nghiệp và đại diện doanh nghiệp. Đây là hoạt động khép lại hành trình PowHERful 2026, đồng thời tạo không gian để học sinh tìm hiểu sâu hơn về con đường học tập, nghề nghiệp và cơ hội phát triển trong lĩnh vực STEM (Khoa học, Công nghệ, Kỹ thuật và Toán học).
Ra đời từ năm 2023, PowHERful là sáng kiến thường niên của saigonchildren nhằm hỗ trợ nữ sinh phát triển tiềm năng thông qua giáo dục và định hướng nghề nghiệp. Sau các chủ đề về rào cản giới, xây dựng kỹ năng và khám phá nghề nghiệp những năm trước, năm 2026, PowHERful tập trung vào STEM (Khoa học, Công nghệ, Kỹ thuật và Toán học).
Đây là nhóm lĩnh vực đang ngày càng được chú trọng trong giáo dục và phát triển nguồn nhân lực tại Việt Nam, đồng thời mở ra nhiều cơ hội học tập và nghề nghiệp trong tương lai. Tuy nhiên, STEM vẫn thường được xem là lĩnh vực phù hợp với nam giới hơn, khiến không ít trẻ em gái e ngại khi tìm hiểu hoặc theo đuổi các ngành học liên quan.
Thông qua các hoạt động của PowHERful 2026, saigonchildren mong muốn khuyến khích học sinh, đặc biệt là các bạn nữ, tự tin khám phá lĩnh vực mình yêu thích mà không bị giới hạn bởi các khuôn mẫu giới.
Trước khi đến với Diễn đàn, PowHERful 2026 đã tổ chức chương trình tập huấn STEM dành cho 50 nữ sinh đang nhận học bổng của saigonchildren. Sau quá trình tập huấn, các bạn trở thành người truyền cảm hứng đến khoảng 1.000 học sinh THCS tại 4 Ngày hội trải nghiệm STEM ở Đông Nam Bộ và Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long thông qua các hoạt động thực hành và khám phá mô hình STEM.
Tiếp nối hành trình đó, Diễn đàn PowHERful 2026 mang đến cơ hội để học sinh đối thoại trực tiếp với sinh viên đang theo học các ngành STEM, chuyên gia hướng nghiệp và đại diện doanh nghiệp công nghệ.
Thông qua hoạt động đối thoại nhóm nhỏ và phiên thảo luận từ chuyên gia, học sinh được trao đổi trực tiếp về những chủ đề gần gũi như: Con gái học STEM có khó không? Có cần phải giỏi sẵn mới theo STEM được không? Học sinh nên chuẩn bị gì từ bậc phổ thông? Hay STEM có thể mở ra những cơ hội nghề nghiệp nào trong tương lai?
Bên cạnh đó, học sinh còn được tham quan triển lãm các mô hình STEM tiêu biểu từ chuỗi Ngày hội trải nghiệm STEM trước đó, gặp gỡ các nhóm học sinh thực hiện mô hình và tham gia các hoạt động trải nghiệm các trò chơi tương tác thú vị được xây dựng từ kiến thức STEM.
Đồng hành cùng chương trình là MiTek – doanh nghiệp hoạt động trong lĩnh vực công nghệ xây dựng với các giải pháp hiệu quả và bền vững. Bên cạnh hỗ trợ nguồn lực triển khai chương trình, đồng hành với chuỗi Ngày hội trải nghiệm STEM tại các trường THCS, đại diện MiTek cũng trực tiếp tham gia các phiên đối thoại với học sinh tại Diễn đàn, chia sẻ về môi trường làm việc, nhu cầu nhân lực và những cơ hội dành cho người trẻ trong lĩnh vực công nghệ.
Sau hành trình trải nghiệm STEM tại trường học, Diễn đàn PowHERful 2026 là bước tiếp nối giúp học sinh kết nối những trải nghiệm đã có với những góc nhìn thực tế về học tập, nghề nghiệp và tương lai. Thông qua các cuộc đối thoại trực tiếp cùng sinh viên, chuyên gia hướng nghiệp và doanh nghiệp, chương trình mong muốn giúp các em có thêm thông tin để đưa ra những lựa chọn phù hợp với năng lực, sở thích và định hướng của bản thân.

PowHERful Summit 2026: Students meet universities, employers and career experts to explore STEM pathways
Saigon Children’s Charity (saigonchildren) has successfully hosted the PowHERful Summit 2026 under the theme “Empowering STEM Dreams”, bringing together around 400 participants, including secondary school students, university students, teachers, parents, career guidance experts and business representatives.
The Summit marked the culmination of the PowHERful 2026 journey while providing students with an opportunity to gain deeper insights into educational pathways, career options and future opportunities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
Launched in 2023, PowHERful is saigonchildren’s annual initiative dedicated to supporting girls in developing their potential through education and career guidance. Following previous themes focusing on gender barriers, skills development and career exploration, PowHERful 2026 centred on STEM.
STEM-related fields are receiving increasing attention within Vietnam’s education system and workforce development strategies, while also offering a wide range of future study and career opportunities. However, STEM is still often perceived as being more suitable for men, leading many girls to feel hesitant about exploring or pursuing STEM-related subjects and careers.
Through the activities of PowHERful 2026, saigonchildren aims to encourage students, particularly girls, to confidently explore the fields they are interested in, free from gender stereotypes and expectations.
- Pre-Summit training: 50 female saigonchildren scholars completed an intensive STEM training programme and became STEM ambassadors.
- Outreach: These ambassadors led four STEM School Tours across Southeast Vietnam and the Mekong Delta, reaching around 1,000 lower-secondary students with hands-on activities and model-building exercises.
- Summit activities: At the culmination event, students took part in small-group discussions and panels with university STEM students, career guidance experts and representatives from technology companies. Topics included preparing for STEM at school, common misconceptions (for example, the idea you must be “naturally gifted”), and future career paths.
- Exhibition: An exhibition showcased standout projects developed during the School Tours, with student teams presenting their models and running interactive STEM games.
PowHERful 2026 was supported by MiTek, a company specialising in construction technology solutions that promote efficiency and sustainability. In addition to providing financial and operational support throughout the programme and the STEM School Tours, MiTek representatives also took part in Summit discussions, sharing insights into the workplace, workforce needs and career opportunities within the technology sector.
Mrs C., a parent who attended the Summit with her daughter, shared:
“I used to worry that my daughter would face many challenges if she chose an engineering-related field. Today’s discussions gave me a new perspective on how I can better support her. What matters most is giving children the opportunity to discover which fields suit them and helping them build the confidence to pursue the path they choose.”
Following a series of STEM experiences in schools, the PowHERful Summit 2026 served as the next step in helping students connect those experiences with real-world perspectives on education, careers and the future. Through direct conversations with university students, career experts and businesses, the programme aimed to equip young people with the information they need to make choices aligned with their interests, strengths and aspirations.
